The North Coast Soaring Association proudly presents the 10th annual

North Coast Glider Games 2022 edition.

April 28, 29, 30 and May 1, 2022

It’s time to congregate on the slopes of Northeast Ohio! Heavy winds or light, there are always ways to get in the air and have great fun. The area around City View is being developed so there may be more amenities available for the games this year. The indoor facilities and the club field are exceptional and ready to be enjoyed.

Thursday: Travel day – come one come all. Sunny skies are forecast, 47 degrees, winds N 10mph so we are at Edgewater Park. We will meet for breakfast at Dianna’s 1332 W117th St., Lakewood, Ohio 44107 at 8:30 to give it time to warm up a bit then to the slope by 10. (We will meet for indoor flying after sundown at One Smart Dog).

Thursday Evening:

4:30p to 10p

Friday:

The event begins…

Mostly Sunny skies and 54 degrees. Northeast wind at 14 in the afternoon will bring us back to Edgewater Park. we start out at Dianna’s for lunch at 11 to give the weather time to warm up.  We hit the hill afterwards.

12 p We travel to the slopes

If winds are light we will head to our Lodi Field for power and winch. Hmm, power and winch, that sounds like a great name for a micro-brew!

“Lords of the lift”

We added a page called “Lords of the Lift” with pictures of pilots and their planes. Make the pose, preferably at your slope so we can see it, your radio and your plane. Give a little info to go with the picture if you like. Your first name and the location at least, how long you have been flying RC….your club…, send the pictures with the Contact Button at the top of the page.

  2. Just met several of the fine people from Slope Slayer/ GEMS (Don, Mike, Mike again and Jeff). If I forgot someone or messed up with the names please forgive.

    I am back home and resting up from my 3 days of “way too much” fun and slope fellowship !
