The North Coast Soaring Association proudly presents the 14th annual
North Coast Glider Games 2026 edition.
April 30th, May 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2026
The 14th edition of the North Coast Glider Games is in the books. The slopes were ready and waiting for another exciting year of combat, racing and utter mayhem. The AAGMC field was well groomed for flat land flying if needed and of course the camaraderie couldn’t be beat.
Thursday: Travel day – Light lift and northwest winds had us at Perry. Nice start to the games.
Friday:
The event begins…
We monitor the winds to see where we will be flying each day. Usually meet at a local restaurant. Sad news, the local hot spot near Edgewater that we usually go for breakfast,Diane’s, had a major fire and is closed.
12 p We travel to the slopes
Rain washed the day away.
We did get a few flights between the drops but Friday was a wash
Friday Evening: Dinner at the Lizard. more tomorrow.
Saturday: Breakfast at Yours Truly
The event continues.
Open, Glider Games, Fun Fly
Joe Mike Pat and Jim enjoying the chilly day.
Wings over Cleveland
The better side of Marv.
7:30p Dinner at Tinkers Creek Tavern, 14000 Tinkers Creek Rd, Walton Hills, OH 44146 American classics & cocktails served in a warm, down-to-earth setting with creek side patio dining.
Sunday: The forecast was for cool temps and morning rain.
So we were prepared with indoor flying at the One Smart Dog facility. Art, Don Jim S. and Scott prepped and got started there.
Jeff, Marv Mike and Jim C. went to City View to see if we could bear the cold and Oh my gosh, there was wind! it warmed as the day went on and the wind increased. To say it was awesome would be an under statement.
We literally had something for everyone on Sunday. Thank you to everyone who had made this years Glider Games a hoot! Weather is always finicky but we always make the best of it!
We look forward to another year of fine friends, great flying and good times!
Until Next Year,
Best regards,
Don King

Excellent! Great schedule. I know you’re going to have a fun time if you get to participate. Wish I could be there for the duration but hope to attend some of the events.
Had a GREAT time participating on Friday. Excellent sloping at City View and a blast indoors at Enterprise. Thanks to all the organizers, and especially Mike Gantner, for all the efforts! If you haven’t been to City View, or the North Coast, for some sloping, you’re missing out!
What a special weekend. 4 Days of great wind at 3 different locations (plus the indoor stuff of course). Thanks to all that made this happen. It was my first event but I guarantee it will not be my last. Whew what fun. It was nice to meet some new people and get tips on how to fly better. Great planes, great days and great company. you could ask for more.
Thanks again to all involved.
Jeff

Hi! I drive through Cleveland a few times year and am looking for places to fly slope there on my way through. I found the spot by the “Cleveland” sign, but am wondering where the other spots are.
Best,
