North Coast Glider Games 2025 edition.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

May 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s it for the unlucky 13th edition of the North Coast Glider Games. The slopes were beautifully manicured and awaiting the winds and pilots for another exciting year of combat, racing and utter mayhem. The field was well groomed for flat land flying if needed and of course the camaraderie\u00a0 and food could not be beat. It was a wet hoot!\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The Games continue! More rain but we had wind! So, after breakfast and lunch, our intrepid crew made our way to Edgewater to dodge the rain and get some flying in.<\/p>\n

The weather was less than ideal, Wind yes, Rain yes, Hail yes, Snow? of course but through it all, we still found time to fly between downpours, maiden a couple of planes, catch up with great friends and for the crew, we had a wonderful time. Am I being overly optimistic? Yeah, probably but it’s always fun to host this year in and year out. until next time, thank you.<\/p>\n

The 12th annual Glider Games is in the books. Light wind, fog and rain didn’t dampen the spirits of our favored pilots. We dined. We maidened a few planes and enjoyed indoor flying on the first few nights. We ate. We had a lot of fun finding new ways to fly our flat land planes and testing the skies with our thermal ships. Did I mention we chowed? Slopes, fields and parking lots, we tested them all. A huge shout-out to Pat, Mike, Mary, Joe, Khan and Attila for the great camaraderie along with all our local friends.<\/p>\n

April 29, 30, May 1, and 2, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the CoVid 19 still happening (Hope you’ve gotten your Vax) and restrictions easing, our social distancing and long distance friends joined us for wonderful time this year. I went out on a limb, (yes the one that my plane was stuck in) and said we were finally be able to congregate on the slopes of Northeast Ohio!
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

What a week of soaring and sloping fun we had.<\/p>\n

Just a reminder that the 2021 NFL Draft was happening in Downtown Cleveland and One Smart Dog had a competition on Friday so since we had rain on Thursday, we enjoyed our indoor at the dog on Thursday.<\/p>\n

But first…we had great weather on Tuesday and Wednesday so we got set up and flew…<\/p>\n

The flying for Thursday was rained out. We flew the sim and just shot the bull and hung out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rain continued so most went to MAPS Aviation Museum after lunch. A few brave souls made their way to Egdewater and got in a few soggy flights. Dan and Jeff headed out to Perry to maiden Dan’s new Knifedge wing. Dan obviously enjoyed the wind and rain.<\/p>\n
